Pasta with Sun-Dried Tomatoes

I may not be a very good cook, but I am an excellent “compiler of stuff”. I first saw the Barefoot Contessa making this Pasta Salad on her show a few years ago and have been making it religiously ever since. It tastes even better the next day (if I can get to it fast enough before it mysteriously disappears).  It also makes a fabulous lunch when served with fresh crusty bread.

Fat-free Chocolate Brownies

Before Stephen and I got married, I lived in a gorgeous garden cottage in Parktown North – set back amongst the trees and boasting the most beautiful wooden floors and pressed ceilings I had ever seen. I loved that house almost as much as I loved Marion and Harold, my two landlords. Harold (then in his late 70’s) followed a very strict low-cholesterol diet, which necessitated some intense research into how we could all indulge his sweet tooth without sending him into cardiac arrest – and when I stumbled across this recipe for Fat-Free Chocolate Brownies, I knew I was on to a winner.

I had such big plans for this year....

Seriously. HUGE plans.

  • I was going to lose 5kgs (yes, again) and instead I have gained 4kgs (800g baby weight and 3.2kgs from party-sized bags of Nik Naks).

Male Panel - Ask the guys

You know that thing you've always wanted to ask the men in your life, but are too scared to? I've got the answers right here!

Am I pregnant or do I have Alzheimer's?

I am thinking of suing Living and Loving magazine for misleading advertising. Because if I have to look at one more photo of a healthy-looking pregnant woman beaming at the camera while lovingly rubbing her bump, I am going to scream.

Fabulous Funnies

Animals do the darndest things. Have a break and chuckle at these oh-so-funny bites of comedy!

WTF of The Day

I have so many questions about this dress that I actually don’t know where to begin...

Great, so Stephen thinks I am losing my mind, when in ACTUAL fact, I am being outwitted and outplayed by a chicken.

There I was, sitting at my desk at home, catching up on some much-needed work in between renovations and parenting duties, when Itchy, my stupid male chicken, decided to pay me a visit. (Let’s just say that what began as rather “cute” visits inside the house have now become rather tiresome, as I spend at least half an hour a day chasing him out of various rooms.)

“Working” Mothers

There are days when I think that I am Superwoman!

Sadly, today is not one of those days.
