Best-Ever Toffee Sauce

This has to be THE yummiest Toffee Sauce ever - serve spooned over ice-cream, waffles or pancakes (or eat it with a spoon!) Even better - it takes just 6 minutes to prepare! Oh, and if you plan on getting your cholesterol checked, I would wait a few days ;-)

  • 110 g butter
  • 250 g light brown sugar (or half brown and half caster sugar)
  • 275 g golden syrup
  • 225 ml double cream
  • 1/2 tsp vanilla extract


1. Put all the ingredients in a saucepan set over a high heat and boil for approximately 4-5 minutes, stirring regularly, until it has thickened. Serve warm.
